Boni’s “Lo Viste” T-shirt giveaway

Another Sunday Funday at Marlins Park!  Not only was Sunday another successful Buehrle’s Buddies event, as well as the very first Bark at the Park at our brand new ball park, but today was also the official Emilio Bonifacio “Lo Viste” T-shirt give away.  I always love seeing the look on kid’s faces the first time they see our ballpark; the first time they walk down the aisle and get their first glimpse of the outfield grass; the way their jaw drops as they stare in amazement at the roof over head.  But Sunday’s look was something different.  It was the look on the fan’s faces just after they got their tickets scanned and glanced up to see Emilio Bonifacio standing right in front of them.  He was personally welcoming them to the park, taking pictures, high-fiving kids, and modeling the “Lo Viste” as he handed out his shirts…that look was simply priceless!  I had been looking forward to handing out these shirts for a long time and seeing a sea of them in our stands, but Bonifacio decided to one up the entire experience by handing the shirts out himself at three different entrances to the park!  That’s what I love about the Marlins.  You never know what will happen but you can be sure it will be a memorable and first class experience.

On Family Sunday the Marlins also invited all 10 teams that participated in the JR RBI league this past spring. They all had the added bonus of getting their hands on a “Lo Viste” t-shirt as well as taking part in Diamond Dash after the game. There were over 200 participants in attendance.
