Ayudan Visits Art Studio Miami
Recently, Marlins Ayudan team “Pierce’s Heroes” visited Art Studio Miami, a non-profit organization based in Little Haiti focused on educating under privileged children through the integration of holistic creative arts. The students of Art Studio Miami have been working on creating their own children’s books. During our visit, we helped the children create the covers for their books by using block print art. It was an incredibly engaging and fun-filled day. Finding out just how meaningful our visit was made this day that much more special.
Dear Mike Hill & Marlins Ayudan,
Thank you for coming to Art Studio Miami and volunteering with us. I was able to teach the kids a very difficult and detailed method of art because of your support. The kids projects came out amazing.
The kids had such an amazing time with all of you. From showing you their previous work to working one on one with you on their block prints and of course the games! Their smiles and joy lasted long after you left.
I also want to thank you for being such great sports and participating in all of our games. It is great to be able to show the kids that it is okay to be goofy even when you grow up, since so many of the kids in this community are forced to grow up so fast.
I had a great time meeting and working with all of you. We can’t wait to see you all again for their end of the summer gallery show!
Thank You,
Lisa Pike
