Field of Dreams

Benny Rodriguez: Man, this is baseball. You gotta stop thinking. Just have fun. – The Sandlot

On Sunday, October 28th, Marlins Park hosted a once-of-a-lifetime game between the mighty South Florida Sandlot 13u’s and the brave Pembroke Lakes 13u Bulldogs! These little leaguers got to play ball like the big boys with access to the club houses, dug out and a Fox Sports Florida presence. The game was a teeth clincher as it ended tied at 2-2!

This opportunity was given to these two incredible teams through the Field of Dreams Experience, won at the Marlins’ Foundation Fantasy Auction Event.

The Lauderhill Police Department Crime Prevention Unit Youth Impact Program Visits Marlins Park

On July 25th, The Miami Marlins Ballpark Buddies sponsored 64 students from the Lauderhill Police Department Youths Program to attend the Marlins vs. Atlanta Braves game. Many of these youths have never been to a baseball game. In being committed to improving the lives of our youth through education, the arts and baseball, The Marlins Foundation and Community Outreach department was able to share this incredible opportunity with our future leaders.

It is thank you letters like this that truly makes you proud to be a Miami Marlin. Enjoy!
